GARY MUSZYNSKI - San Fransciso, CA

Gary Muszynski is a percussionist, composer, music educator, recording artist, and producer who creates genre-bending, original music combining folkloric and world traditions infused with a jazz sensibility. Gary plays a wide variety of world percussion instruments, including the handpan, berimbau, pandeiro, surdo, udu, mbira, conga, bongo, and cajon. He has performed in a wide array of venues, including SF Jazz (with Bobby McFerrin), the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, (2021), the Country Music Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, the Kennedy Center, and on the Zellerbach stage at TEDxBerkeley (2019).

Gary’s current album, Roots & Wings - Medicine Music, features handpan, cello, voice, piano, guitar, melodica, flute, oud, and trombone performed by 24 master musicians from eight countries.
